Details
Maroma's incense is natural. Bamboo sticks are rolled into sandalwood powder and bound together with a natural gum resin, then dipped into fragrances which have been blended with essential oils. The result is a fresh and fragrant breath of unity that enhances the atmosphere and brings air to life. Beautifully packaged in silkscreened, hand-made paper made from recycled cotton yarn. Ten sticks per packet, each will last for about 45 minutes.

Quality Price Value Great Incense but what are the health implications of using them?
Review by Jezz on 11/07/2017I bought these after having seen them sold in Wholefoods and thought that if they stocked them then they must be environmentally friendly or health friendly. The smell is lovely. However, recent research I read suggested that incense smoke is as toxic as cigarette smoke so have stopped using these. But how bad can they be if monks in temples and Asian people have been using them for years. Perhaps these "natural" ones aren't the ones that aren't toxic...but until someone tells me otherwise, I will keep them in the drawer -
Quality Price Value Fills the room with freshness.
Review by wenty1stCenturyrevieweron 11/07/2017Lovely and fresh and very floral with fresh green notes. It is medium smoky and less than other Maroma sticks but it is quite smoky. If you don't like smoky incense then you shouldn't really use Maroma incense.
There has been some talk on the internet about whether or not incense smoke is as dangerous as cigarette smoke, but there is no evidence for that and in countries where they use lots of incense, like Japan for example, they actually have some of the lowest cancer rates in the world! Studies have not shown any link between cancer and incense! Maroma actually state that their incense is "non toxic" and made from palm oils and other natural ingredients.
It is also worth remembering that you have to weigh it against other things you expose yourself to on a daily basis that are far more dangerous. Alcohol is *dangerous*, driving is *dangerous*, if you look at stats for those you will soon realise that a bit of incense isn't really something to worry about; hey, you consume far worse from traffic fumes! Also, if you use hairspray, cosmetics, or use air freshener or scented candles in your house you are already consuming more chemicals than you get in these.
So don't deny yourself a little luxury! You will get a lovely and lasting fresh smell from these. They burn for about 45 min and you get 10 in a pack.
