    Review by grahamon 11/07/2017
There are many similar products to this but this is the most cost effective I've found. Won't wash very dirty clothes as well as commercial detergent with enzymes and harsh chemicals, and won't bring out the white in cottons as it lacks optical brighteners, and so sheets etc. will gradually turn a natural cotton colour, which is more of an off-white slight beige. Obviously it won't leave your clothes with a "clean" scent after washing either (as this is a result of artificial perfumes in commercial detergents) but will leave them odourless.

However for day to day use this works fine and spares you all the enzymes, optical brighteners, chemical detergents, perfumes, bleaching agents, etc. which can be an issue for sensitive skin (I was getting dermatitis even from Fairy non-bio prior to using this) and is safer for the environment. You can also add some sodium percarbonate (cheap and fairly harmless) to your washes for more effective stain removal.

You may also wish to keep a small amount of regular bio detergent or additive on hand for very dirty loads (blood, faeces, food staining, etc.) - especially if you have small children - and then can re-wash it with with this after to remove any residual irritants.
