EcoHIP^TM care about the environment and are currently supporting a Carbon Offsetting Programme by a charitable organization by the name of Ecotribal.

Ecotribal are currently working closely with the Ashaninka Tribe in the Peruvian Amazon, who are planting trees as part of this initiative. The trees are planted by the Ashaninka tribe to offset UK carbon emissions (e.g. from flying, road travel and even energy intensive processes and events such as weddings and conferences) as part of a community-led agro-forestry initiative. This tribe recently featured in Channel 4's Medical Men.

The managing director of Ecotribal has had a close relationship with this tribe for over 30 years and has visited them on many occasions throughout that time. It is with this association that Ecotribal was founded and through this the Carbon Offsetting Programme became a reality.

EcoHIP^TM are strong supporters of this worthwhile cause and are happy to announce that for every Home Information Pack that we sell, a tree will be planted in the Peruvian Amazon at no extra cost to the customer.

EcoHIP's partnership with Ecotribal also provides a means by which the Ashaninka people can sustain themselves. The rainforest is being eroded every day by illegal mining and logging, with vast areas disappearing every day. Our goal is to widen this programme to other indigenous people of the Rainforest giving them also a means to sustain themselves, and to continue to play an important role as a custodian of the rainforest, “the lungs of the world”, a role that benefits everyone on our planet.
